BGSU Men's Chorus to present concert at Graham High School on Nov 11th
The Bowling Green State University Men’s Chorus from Bowling Green, Ohio, will present a concert of sacred and secular music at Graham Middle School at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, November 11. This 70-voice touring chorus is conducted by Timothy Cloeter. Admission is free (a free will offering will be collected).
The varied concert program spans from Renaissance music to Russian folksongs, and from opera choruses to barbershop. Concert highlights will include Khatelishvili’s “Khorumi,” Poulenc’s third “Prayer of St. Francis,” Wagner’s “Pilgrim’s Chorus” from Tannhäuser, and a special set commemorating Veterans’ Day that includes Chatman’s “Reconciliation” and Nowlin’s “Medley for American Patriots” for brass and chorus.
Hailed as “America’s Finest Singing Machine,” the BGSU Men’s Chorus has a long-standing tradition of excellence and has held the honor of performing with distinction at regional and national choral and music education conferences. The Chorus is an auditioned ensemble open to all male students at BGSU, and it includes students from a wide variety of majors.
