Parents' Rights in the Special Education Process

Families & Educators Achieving Success Together (FEAST) of Champaign County is offering a free fall training entitled “Parents' Rights in the Special Education Process.” This workshop will answer common questions about the special education process and will help participants understand the importance and effectiveness of parental involvement in the process. It will explain parents’ rights and responsibilities.

Pam Cotrell, trainer for the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD), will be the speaker. Ms. Cotrell has been with the OCECD for several years and is very experienced in helping families and educators of children with disabilities.

The training is free and open to all interested parties. It will be held October 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Champaign County Community Center, 1512 S. US Hwy 68, Urbana.
