Buy Fresh/Buy Local

Knowing where your food comes from is important to many of us. In our great community, we have the opportunity to take advantage of our farming residents. The following is just a "taste" of where to buy locally, and in most instances, buy locally grown organic foods. Please contact the farms for more information about their products and growing practices. To our local farmers...thanks for keeping agriculture available to our community!

LOCAL FARMERS AT THE VIRTUAL MARKET

Shop for fresh local foods from the comfort of your own home! www.champaignoh.locallygrown.net makes buying from local farmers easy! Order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want. Place your weekly order on the website and pick it up at the Champaign Family YMCA.

LOCATE YOUR LOCAL GROWERS

By eating local, you help your community's economy and environment. Your money goes directly to local farmers, who patronize local businesses. (Farmers receive only 19 cents of every dollar spent at the supermarket.) Remember, locally grown food requires less fuel to transport - making an additional impact in improving our environment. Check out your local growers...
