The City of Urbana may use the following processes for procurement and disposition of goods and services:
1) Verbal or written quotations
2) Competitive sealed bids
3) Competitive negotiation process (request for qualifications, request for proposal)
4) State cooperative purchasing programs (Ohio DAS, Ohio Department of Transportation, etc.)
5) Sole source vendor

The City of Urbana may also dispose of surplus property through various methods, including internet auction or live auction. The best method of disposal is to be determined by the Division Head, Board of Control, or City Council.
Construction bids are generally handled through the City of Urbana Engineering Division. All other quotes are usually handled through the City Administration Office.
